Day 1: Arrival and Transfer to Ngarenanyuki River
- Arrival: Arrive in Arusha and meet your guide for the transfer to Ngarenanyuki River, located in the eastern part of Arusha National Park.
- Trek: Begin your trek from Ngarenanyuki along a scenic path that offers spectacular views of Mount Meru and surrounding terrain.
- Destination: Hike for about 4-5 hours to the Ngarenanyuki Hut (2,500 meters).
- Meals and Overnight: Dinner and overnight at Ngarenanyuki Hut.
Day 2: Ngarenanyuki Hut to Miriakamba Hut
- Trek: After breakfast, continue the trek to Miriakamba Hut (2,500 meters).
- Duration: The trek will take approximately 4-5 hours, passing through lush forests and offering opportunities to see wildlife.
- Meals and Overnight: Dinner and overnight at Miriakamba Hut.
Day 3: Miriakamba Hut to Saddle Hut
- Trek: Begin your hike towards Saddle Hut (3,500 meters), which takes approximately 4-5 hours.
- Scenic Highlights: Views of the Ash Cone, the crater, and surrounding wilderness.
- Meals and Overnight: Dinner and overnight at Saddle Hut
Day 4: Saddle Hut to Summit and Return to Saddle Hut
- Summit Trek: Wake up early to begin your final ascent to the summit (4,566 meters), a 4-5 hour climb.
- Descent: After reaching the summit, descend back to Saddle Hut for rest, which will take 3-4 hours.
- Meals and Overnight: Dinner and overnight at Saddle Hut.
Day 5: Saddle Hut to Miriakamba Hut and Descent to Ngarenanyuki River
- Descent: After breakfast, descend back from Saddle Hut to Miriakamba Hut, which takes about 3 hours.
- Continue Descent: Continue down to Ngarenanyuki River, a 3-4-hour trek.
