Day 1: Arrival and Transfer to Arusha National Park (Miriakamba Hut Start)
- Arrival: Upon arrival in Arusha, meet your guide and transfer to Miriakamba Hut.
- Start of Trek: Begin your trek from Miriakamba Hut, bypassing the forest zone. This route involves a more direct approach to the summit.
- Destination: The trek today will take you to Saddle Hut (3,500 meters), with a journey of about 4-5 hours.
- Meals and Overnight: Enjoy dinner and overnight at Saddle Hut.
Day 2: Saddle Hut to Summit and Return to Saddle Hut
- Summit Trek: After an early breakfast, start your trek to the summit of Mount Meru (4,566 meters), which will take approximately 4-5 hours.
- Summit Highlights: Reach the summit and enjoy views of the Ash Cone, Mount Kilimanjaro, and surrounding landscapes.
- Descent: Descend back to Saddle Hut, taking about 3-4 hours.
- Meals and Overnight: Enjoy a hearty dinner and overnight at Saddle Hut.
Day 3: Saddle Hut to Miriakamba Hut
- Descent: After breakfast, descend from Saddle Hut to Miriakamba Hut. This descent takes about 3-4 hours.
- Scenic Views: Enjoy the lush forest and sweeping views as you descend.
- Meals and Overnight: Dinner and overnight at Miriakamba Hut.
Day 4: Miriakamba Hut to Momella Gate and Return to Arusha
- Descent: After breakfast, descend to Momella Gate, taking about 4 hours.
